Subject: XPages detailed documentation
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Domino Designer on Eclipse (DDE)
Technical Area: Documentation
Platform: Not Applicable
Release: Beta 1
Reproducible: Not applicable

I don't know if it's too early to ask, but is there any documentation on XPages besides what we get in DDE help?

Detailed reference guide
Sample applications
How-to guides (cookbooks)
Best practices

Anything...

IMHO this technology has the great potential, however it's success might well depend on how fast and how wide it will spread among the Domino developers base.
After playing with it for a day of two, I would even dare to say that it might make us (Domino developers) forget about LotusScript (once (if?) it becomes available for Notes client). This is a whole paradigm shift for Domino applications, and it seems to be heading to a good direction. Basically, you don't feel it as a paradigm shift, because most of the technical details are hidden for the developer.

However, good documentation (reference guides, reference applications, hello-real-world samples etc.) is crucial to lower the "entry point" into a new technology and to make the adoption a success.
